In the ever-evolving landscape of Nepalese hip-hop, Dong stands as a prominent figure, known for his distinct style and contributions to the genre. Recently, Dong, along with fellow artists Yoddha and Uniq Poet, embarked on a groundbreaking collaboration that has sent shockwaves through the music scene.
Dong, affiliated with ClassX Presentation, recently unveiled his much-anticipated album “Tayari,” with the track titled ‘Chatak.’ This track, a fusion of vibrant beats and powerful lyrics, showcases the collective talents of Dong, Uniq Poet, and Yoddha, bringing together their unique perspectives and skills.
Behind the scenes, ‘Chatak’ was brought to life through the collaborative efforts of Producer Rohit Shakya and co-producers Snjv, De Mash, 8usgustus, and Storenutter. The video, expertly shot by Sayun Shakya and edited by Storenutter, serves as a visual masterpiece to complement the track’s dynamic energy.
Each artist’s segment of the music video was shot in a different location, spanning across continents and cultures. Dong’s scenes were captured against the backdrop of Dunkmandu and the serene ambiance of Bauddha Stupa, encapsulating the essence of Kathmandu’s vibrant atmosphere.
Yoddha’s contribution to ‘Chatak’ took viewers on a journey to the United Kingdom, where his verses were brought to life amidst the urban landscapes, adding an international flavor to the collaboration.
Meanwhile, Uniq Poet brought his signature style to the streets of Kamalpokhari and Patan, infusing the video with a sense of authenticity and nostalgia that resonates with audiences worldwide.
Despite the logistical challenges of coordinating shoots across different time zones, the production of ‘Chatak’ was a testament to the artists’ passion and dedication. With a smaller crew, the shoot was not only successful but also immensely enjoyable, reflecting the camaraderie shared between the collaborators.
